This is a wave I like to paint, so you'll see it in many different forms throughout these pages.  One day I'll get it right!
A distance view of "The Devil's Tooth", from "Sally Bottom" beach.  The word "bottom" is a tin mining term, having nothing whatever to do with whatever it is you sit on...Naturally enough, however, when I was a lad it was generally known as Sally's bottom...Highly juvenile, eh?
The disappointing thing here is that I can't seem to get the colours right with my digital camera - there's always too much orange on the reproduction...believe me, the canvas does not look like this!!!
Does anyone out there know how to get the colour balances right?

Back in the good old days (like last year!) I used to walk the canvasses out into the sunlight and snap them with the trusty 35mm, get the film developed and printed, then scan the results.  I didn't have colour balance problems then!...The answer seems obvious, do'n it!

It's the "stepping backwards" bit that floors me...
